Pranayama is one of the most important tools in the practice and application of Yoga. A deep understanding of this tool can not only aid us to enhance in our own personal practice, but also be useful in applying its potential helping others in their own Yoga journey, be it for health, healing or spiritual development. 

The power and potentials of this subtle work on the breath, the most vital component to our life, is often underestimated or misunderstood in contemporary times. When utilized carefully, not only does it elevate health, but also facilitates healing from various kinds of illnesses, as well as opening the doorway to our possible spiritual domain. 

In this seminar Dr. Kausthub Desikachar will focus on practical and deep insights into the teaching of Pranayama. Topics that will be discussed include:

  • Theoretical Frameworks of Pranayama Practice
  • Kinds of Pranayama based on technique, experience & process
  • Ratios in Pranayama practice and their significance
  • Sequencing Pranayama Practice for groups and individuals
  • Accompanying tools in Pranayama like bandhas, mudras & mantras
