For all those wanting gut healing, here is an alternative source of BONE BROTH, which is probably better than the real deal anyway!!! Takes about an hour to make but is well worth it.


  • 12 cups alkaline water (use any water you can)

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (for more health benefits use GHEE, liquid gold)

  • 2 large leeks (if you don’t have use 1 large red onion or any onion), rough chop

  • 1 bulb garlic, smashed

  • 1 knob ginger, rough chop

  • 1 dry red chili pepper, rough chop

  • 1 cup greens (use asian kai lan, or kale, or anything you like that is dark and rich in color)

  • 3 cups mixed vegetables (use carrot, red cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, celery, fennel)

  • 1/2 cup dried shiitake mushrooms (soak before use)

  • 30 grams dried kombu (a Japanese sea weed, found in city super here in HK)

  • 1 tsp peppercorns

  • 2 sprigs thyme

  • 2 tbsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp Shoyu or tamari

  • fresh coriander and parsley stalks and leaves, 2 bunches (1 bunch each)

  • 3 tbsp noosh (nutritional yeast)

What to do:

Add everything into the cold water, start a rapid boil than allow to gently simmer for an hour. The reason we start in cold water is so the broth gets optimal flavor and clarity.
Once everything has been cooked and merged, strain the liquid.

Serve immediately. You can chop additional cilantro and parley to serve.
