Plain Basmati Rice, Serves 4

 

Ingredients:

1 cup (250 ml) basmati rice

2 cups (500 ml) water

1 teaspoon ghee

1/2 teaspoon salt

 

What to do,

Wash rice thoroughly. Combine all ingredients in a medium-size pot and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat, and simmer until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender, for 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can cook it in a rice cooker.
